Introduction

The objective of disa digital safety is to protect electronic consumer products and to reduce costs such as inventory differences, transport insurance rates and special logistic processes for manufacturers and retailers. disa digital safety gmbh is being supported by its technology partner Ternary Technologies Pte Ltd. in Singapore to accomplish its global goals.

SD Cards, iPOD players, USB sticks and other ‘compact’ digital products are currently sold in many retail stores worldwide. Due to the size of these compact digital devices, they are very vulnerable to theft in the supply chains. From warehouse to the retails stores, these products are high potential theft target.

Currently, these products are kept under glass panel in locks and keys, behind counters, displayed in empty boxes or simply encased in a big box with electronic tacking to prevent theft at the retail stores. These theft prevention methods are not efficient in precious retail space allocations and manpower resources. Extra manpower is needed to open the encased boxes, open the locks and go the warehouse or mend the counter.

These are especially problematic for developed countries like US and Europe where manpower are so expensive and scared.
